Strikers Ladies started to compete in this contest far too late to give themselves any chance of winning.

It wasn’t until about 25 minutes in that they started to realize that they are good enough to make a game of it, but struggling without a potent strike force were unable to add to our one and only goal from Jayde Moore.

Springvale had some really fast players and that affected us badly and had their finishing been better the score would have been a lot more.

Goalie Jan Hill kept goal well and our ladies kept on trying to the end but were unable to salvage anything from this game.

We had a couple of good chances in the second half notably Kayla Hicks’s solid shot which crashed against the bar.

All in all not a disaster but our ladies need to be more consistent throughout the 90 minutes.

Items of note were Demi Johnsons solid effort, Keely Moore’s attitude, Saskia Dekkers continued high quality performance, Courtney Dallow’s contribution and a real Captains performance from Darcy Hill.

Jayde took her goal well after a very clever pass from Kaylan Walker.

It was great to see some family and friends make the effort to turn up and support our ladies, Thank you folks

I think some of our players were a bit disappointed after the game, not so much with the result, but the fact we can do better as we have proved in past weeks.

Keep at it ladies
