Cuscatlan started the game in a similiar situation
as to us last week with only nine men with one man coming half way through
the first half. We tried hard to score in the first ten but we just
didn't have our shooting boots on until Darren Lee scored our first,
Maxy also slotted one straight afterwards. Tim probably had the best
chance of the half but failed to finish the ball. Cuscatlan to their
credit didn't stop running and with there many runs up front slotted
two gaols passed Manuel in goals. We finally got our shooting boots
on with Darren, Maxy and Dave Kuhanez scoring goals. Making the score
5-2 at half time.
We came out in the second half all fired up scoring another 6 goals,
Darren Lee looking for the Bayside Top Goal Scorers Trophy slotted 6
for the day, Maxy put away 3, Dave Kuhanez and an Owl Goal, making the
score 11-2. A good finish to the season, with the team looking forward
to next year.

We travelled to Brighton, to find out we only had 10
players, never the less we took to the field, with some good early shots
we couldn't score, but up the other end Brighton got a very soft first
goal, followed by two cracking volleys from outside the goal area. The
score 3-0 at half time. The second half was a one way traffic with Brighton
scoring another 4 goals. We did have some great chances though a miss
header from Manuel, a disallowed goal from Maxy, and a save by the keeper
from Laurence Hall.
We tried hard all day and didn't stop trying. Well done boys!
Next week we play our final game against Cuscatlan, I'm sure we will
have a full squad.

The Outlaws played Boronia and lost 3-2, what more
could be said.
We played well for the first twenty minutes, but then they scored their
first goal which was totally against play. They then scored two more
in the next fifteen minutes, and we lost the plot.
We changed keeper and regrouped in the second half and managed to get
two back.
They hit the post in the second half, and Manuel made some good saves.
We also had several chances, but when the final whistle blew we still
lost.
This week The Outlaws came up against Mornington, we lost the toss and
kicked against the wind in the first half, with the return of Lee Winsor,
Paul Cooper, Laurence Hall and Fred we knew if we could hold them until
half time that we would have a chance. And that what we did despite
some great chances from Lee up front and Darren in the middle it remained
0-0 at half time. The second half Mornington came out strong but the
Outlaws defence Gary, Fred, Laurence and Manuel weathered the storm.
A great move that started from the back line to the midfield and then
to the forwards found Steve Murtagh who blasted a great goal past the
keeper to put us 1 nil up. The second goal was a run from the middle
by Darren Lee and after a scramble in the goal mouth he put the ball
away. The third came from a deliberate hand ball by a Mornington player
who subsuquently was sent off and Darren slotted the ball from the penalty
spot.
The fourth came from Paul Cooper after a great move also starting from
the defence line. Despite Steve Balog's big talking mouth he was unable
to keep a clean sheet despite his boasts of being able to do so, so
the game ended in a 4-1 win. It seems though that we can never have
our best squad on the park with the return of 4 players we had atleast
another 4 players out. If we had our strongest team on the park all
year I'm sure we could have had some much better results during the
year. Next week we play Boronia away at 3pm and then we have a bye.

The Outlaws travelled to Cerberus in what we knew was going to be a hard game with key players Lee Winsor and Paul Cooper missing. The first half was a tightly contested struggle with Darren Lee scoring first, but then Cerberus scored an equaliser to make it 1-1 at half time. The start of the second half saw a new keeper in goals for the Outlaws. Darren Lee also had to leave after about 10 minutes for work. Cerberus scored early in the second half to make the score 2-1. Ryan Lee had 2 or 3 great chances but couldn't put the ball away. Steve Balog missed an open goal header. And David Rosetto missed a couple of chances. Meanwhile Navy kept attacking and scored two more goals to make the final result 4-1. Fortunately that afternoon we were able to return to the bar at our own ground to drown our sorrows.
The Oulaws played out of their skins against Monash, Monash
got the first due to a defensive error, Darren Lee got our first through
a great run from Steve Balog who was tripped in the penalty box resulting
in a penalty. Monash then went 2-1 up through another defensive error,
but Darren Lee playing in the middle of the part slotted the equaliser.
The Outlaws had a lot of the play playing the ball out well from the
defense to the midfield and then to the forward line. Monash got their
third from a cross from the right which Manuel couldn't hold and their
player (who had also scored the other 2 goals) chested in his third.
It wasn't long though that Darren Lee got the ball again and scored
his third goal also. The score at half time 3-3.
Both teams came out strong in the second half we had some great through
balls to Ryan Lee, Michael Dable and Lee Winsor but just couldn't score,
meanwhile at the other end Gary Hall, Steve Balog, Laurence Hall, Steve
Murtagh and John kept Monash scoreless. Maxy in the middle tried hard
all day working up and down the pitch. It wasn't until the introduction
of Tim Dewhurst and Bruce Howden that we scored our forth from a cross
onto Lee Winsor's head and then our fifth 5 minutes later from a set
piece from Darren that was headed in by a Monash player. So 5-3 was
the final result, a great result for the Outlaws.
The Outlaws play Cereberus Away next week kicking off at 11am, don't
forget your I.D. boys.
With 12 players we new it was going to be hard playing
against top spot Langwarrin. We started off strong missing three great
chances in the first 10 minutes of the game. We had most of the play
until Langwarrin got their feet came forward and scored their first
goal against the run of play. Both teams had some great chances but
it remained 1-0 to Langwarrin at the half time break.
We came out to find Stuart injured and replaced by Tim before the whistle
had blown and an injury to Laurence Hall forced Lee Winsor to drop back
and help the defence. With the wind Langwarrin were just too strong
scoring 2 more goals, to seal our fate with a 3-0 scoreline.
Next week we play Monash at home which should also be a tough game,
but hopefully Bruce Howden, Gary Hall and Darren Lee will be available
to boost our squad.

In a high scoring match we went down 6-4, from the start
we lost Nick Wheeler with a hammie injury, and was replaced by Laurence
Hall returned to the Outlaws. They scored, we scored, they scored, we
scored (Dave Rosetto with a great volley), they scored, etc, etc. Too
many defensive errors cost us easy goals and the sending off of Mick
didn't help our cause much. A great goal in the second half by Darren
Lee and a tap in (blast in) by Lee Winsor just couldn't get us in front.
Overall a good effort by all with only 10 men for most of the second
half and injuries to Stuart and Steve who had to keep on playing.

Unfortunately due to a lack of players the Outlaws have had to cancel their cup game against Croydon Rangers B training will be on, on Wednesday though as per usual.
The Outlaws played Frankston Pines in the second round
of the cup at Monterey Reserve this week, in a very exciting first half
both teams had many chances and a scoreline of 1-1 at half time was
a good result. The second half on the other hand was a different story
with the Pines scoring 3 more goals, one through a penalty from a tackle
from Gary Hall, another goal from a possible free kick for us against
Fred that wasn't given which resulted in a goal and the last one was
scored against a tired Outlaws outfit, we also scored a conselation
goal, but the scoreline finsihed at 4-2 to the Pines.
Next week we play Croydon in the last of the cup games.
The following week we play Baxter Eagles at home which should be a tightly
contested game after they thrashed us in the first game of the year
6-0, we have something to prove this time. Sitting in 4th spot we can
easily move forward with some good results in the coming weeks.
In the first round of the cup competition the Outlaws
came up against Premier Division Team Pines Condors A, and with the
Condors scoring a goal in the first minute it looked like we were in
for a long day. But in a hard fought first half the Outlaws had many
great chances but just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net,
David Rossetto playing in the middle of the park beat a number of players
and slotted a goal to draw the game at 1-1. Pines continued to push
and scored another just before the end of the half. So 1-2 at half time
was probably a disappointing result for the Outlaws after they had so
many great chances. The second half was much the same as the first with
good moves down the right by Gary Hall and Paul Cooper and Mick Dable
with Lee Winsor, Dave Rossetto, Steve Balog and AJ waiting in the middle,
but unfortunately they were unable to score. Darren Lee in goals played
well and reved up the boys all day. Pines got a third late in the second
half making the score 1-3 at the end of the game

The Outlaws had a great win against Cuscatlan on the
weekend winning 4-1 away. With other results going our way we jumped
from 8th to 4th on the Division 1 Table our highest position so far
this year.
The outlaws finished up 4-1 winners yesterday. LeeWinsor scored a hat-trick
(one off his chest) and the final goal was scored by Steve who took
a long shot.
A hard fought game against Brighton at home saw us go down 3-2, with
goals from Millsy and Steve Balog, we tried hard all day but couldn't
capatilize on shots on goal, we still have a few injuries so hopefully
they will be fit and ready for the game against Cuscatlan away next
week. The Outlaws are now sitting in 8th spot but with a few more wins
could easily move into 4th or fifth spot.
The Outlaws put their shooting boots on this week with
a 9-2 whitewash against bottom of the table Boronia. Well done to Darren
Lee and Mark Mills who both scored hat tricks and to the other scorers
Bruce, Lee and Mick Dable who has scored in the last three games the
boys have played.
The Outlaws have a bye next week, so hopefully injured players can recover
(Dave) for the game against Brighton at home on the 21st of May.
Frankston Outlaws played out a 1 all draw against Cerberus
on Sunday, a hard fought first half saw the two teams go in at 0-0 at
half time, Gary Hall and Fred in the backline played well, while Lee,
Steve, Maxy, Millsy and AJ trying hard in the middle and up front. The
second half saw Cerberus score a goal on the break with Darren Lee unable
to save the one on one in goals. Cerberus had most of the play in the
second half with the Outlaws holding on to the ball a little too much
and not getting the ball across to the waiting forwards. A free kick
by Mick Dable in the dying minutes saw the Outlaws score a direct goal
(although I'm sure AJ tried to claim it) and equalise. Overall a fair
result with both teams playing a hard fought game.

FRANKSTON OUTLAWS FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON
The opening two rounds of the season has been a nightmare
for the OUTLAWS, two bad loses 6-0 and 5-2. Last Sunday they seem to
be heading in the same direction in a close first half they went 2-0
down at half time against the run of play. The second half proved to
be character building for the team as they slowly took control of the
game. LEE WINSOR moved back to a sweeper roll for the team and new keeper
DARREN LEE was dealing with anything that came his way. GARY HALL was
having one of his best games for his side. After excellent work on the
right wing a good cross found STEVE BALOG in the penalty box and he
smashed in number one goal. Continued pressure on the MONASH goal had
its desired affect as MARK MILLS continued his run of goal scoring getting
the equaliser. It was now time to go for the winner and they did just
that, DAVID ROSSETTO scoring minutes before time. Credit to MONASH and
the referee for making it an entertaining match
1) If you could pay your fees ASAP that would be most appreciated ($160
in total - but only $100 is due at present).
If you could give the money to me (Gary) at training tonight, or if
not next Wednesday that would be great.
2) Don't forget that there is a charity day at our home ground this
Easter Sunday.

The Outlaws played Monash Peninsula on the weekend and in a tight game
came away with a win. Good goals from STEVE BALOG, DAVID ROSSETTO (why
weren't you at the Christening) and Mark Mills who now leads the Frankston
Top Goal Scorers with 2. Well done boys!
This years membership is $160. $150 of that covers Bayside
Membership, insurance, and Frankston Strikers membership. The other
$10 per person will go to our team kitty for stuff like a new medical
kit, bucket and anything else we might need during the season. The $160
can be paid in two parts, but $100 of it is due ASAP. If you could please
bring it either tomorrow night (preferably) or Sunday that would be
great.
I'm not sure what the insurance covers in your $150, but I suggest everyone
in the team gets Ambulance Membership. It only costs $55 per year. Go

1 Summary Round 1
Frankston Outlaws opened up their account on the weekend with a 6-0 loss against Baxter, in 30+ degree heat. The 1st half was very close with both teams having many chances, Baxter went to the half time break though 2-0 up. The second half though was all one way traffic with Baxter taking full control (we even missed a penalty) and the Outlaws showing a lack of match practice letting in another 4 goals. Not a great start for the boys with 1 player being sent off for taking a quick free kick after being given a yellow card. Click here for some photos of the match

Frankston Outlaws has started training, every Wednesday @ McClelland Drive starting at 7:00pm, new players welcome.
News On The Frankston Outlaws
I attended the Bayside Meeting last night (March 6).
1) There are five different divisions and a women's league. We are in
Division 1, same as last year. All together there are twelve more teams
this year than last year.
2) There is a Charity day on March 19 at the Seaford ground. There will
be two games between the league winners from last year. I think it would
be good if we all attended. It will be good to have a drink and watch
some soccer. The money raised will go towards cancer research. Families
are most welcome.
3) The season starts on March 26. No fixtures yet though. We will be
kicking off at 1pm on Sundays.
4) There are no league games on the Easter weekend, however there is
another charity soccer match at our home ground. If people are interested
in playing on Easter Sunday they need to speak to me.
5) We have a women's team playing at our ground this year. They will
be kicking off at 11pm (before us)
6) We need to get player's registered ASAP. If you don't already have
a Bayside passport please bring a couple of small passport photos to
training ASAP. You will also need to fill out a form.
