Karingal pulled off a good win after being a goal down at halftime. The first half saw both teams come close before Bendigo opened the scoring through Ricketts.
Fortunately for Karingal, they came out after half-time a little more inspired and gradually took full command of the game apart from spasmodic raids by Bendigo, Karingal's first goal, scored by Towers, was a hard volley from close range with their second goal resulting
from a corner which Bendigo only half cleared, allowing Butler to score the winning goal with a fine volley into the corner of the net.
Karingal were now well on top and with minutes to go Karingal's Taylor was put through but was dragged back The resultant penalty was placed wide by Black.
The game ended on a sad note when in the closing minutes Karingal's brave left full back Vesco was taken off with a broken arm.
